fantasy rp II: the revengening

Attu looks at Nyx slowly turning into dark pool "Hmm looks like they're focused on something" Attu looks at his tendrils and chews on the two severed ones coating them with the smell of death and blackish red liquid regenerating them faster. Attu looks at Azeera and turns back. "She thinks she knows everything about me." Attu clenches his chest and giggles a little.

Lazuli starts to circle, muzzle pointed downwards as she heads for her target- a high watchtower at the start of the city. It doesn't occur to her that her passengers are mostly still considered fugitives and mass-murderers in this city; she thinks that they have the best chance of finding the final page if they start back at the beginning. Right before they crash into the tower, she changes back to her human shape, and they all fall to the wooden roof of the tower.

Nyx bounces, lost in dreams as they are, and rolls off the side of the tower. They hit the ground with a nasty squishing noise, a puddle of black ooze on the pavement. Even that doesn't awake them from their meditation- they simply stay flattened on the ground, Lazuli poking her head over the side to giggle at them.

Attu falls face first on the wooden ground holding his already distorted muzzle "So much for a proper landing huh Lazuli" Attu walks to Nyx in confusing on how the fall didn't wake them. "Wow! There is no waking this one." Attu looks around observing his surroundings "Waiting on Nyx?"

Lazuli leaps down from the tower, landing lightly on the ground right next to the puddle of Nyx. She rolls her eyes, and blows out an almost gentle breath of billowing blue fire, letting it lap at the oil slick till it jolts up into a recognizable form- Nyx, hunched over and spitting acid words in their general direction. "Wakey wakey. We got shit to do."

"Fuck you! I was resting, for once in this cursed existence, and you just had to wake me. I thought we were hatefriends." They give Attu a poisonous glare for not stopping Lazuli, and storm off in a huff. Their dreams of memories long past, as well as forcibly being returned to a younger form, have their emotions on high alert.

Attu sighs "Bloody hell Lazuli really?" Attu grabs Lazuli with a tendril "Are you serious?..... Your just.... Ugh!!...... Like you said we do have shit to do. Let's go"

Lazuli heats up her skin and scales to burn Attu's tendril and tear out of his grip, scowling. "Hey, it worked, didn't it?" She spits a tiny jet of flame at him, annoyed, and storms off after Nyx- but to no avail. Nyx has already faded into the shadows and disappeared. They'll have to track them down before they can do anything.

Attu holds his tendrils looking at Lazuli menacingly "Ruby...... Ruby told me to never EVER wake Nyx. You just did that" Attu looks around "Where the blazes is Nyx anyway?"

"Who knows? They could be anywhere."Lazuli shrugs, not noticeably bothered by this. They'll come back eventually, even if its just to kill Lazuli. But, they don't have time for this- the guards will recognize them at some point, and though Lazuli can use her imperial powers to stave off execution, Ruby would be pissed. She sighs and grabs Attu's hand, dragging him after the trail of acid drops that Nyx left behind.

Azeera fades in just before the landing and appears on the tower, pulling Felicity and the others except for Attu and Nyx to ground safely.

"Yeah, they can well I guess we better-" Attu stops dead sentence from getting dragged by Lazuli "Why can't the Wolf help? She'll find her faster supposedly. You know this is getting old right? Getting dragged by you Nyx"

Nyx just keeps running, dancing through by-passers shadows and leaving a trail of black acid behind them as they go. Their form wavers and shivers, short tendrils bouncing and short robes flipping around them. They had terrible style a few hundred years ago. They have no intention of letting themselves be caught- they'll lead their 'friends' a merry dance through the city as revenge for waking them.

Lazuli ignores Attu's protests to drag him by a tendril, speeding up till she's flying through the streets, her feet skimming the ground. She's going to catch Nyx and make them sorry for being a horrible bitch. Her thoughts never even stray to the rest of the group, back at the guard tower.

Guards surround the group, spears bristling and poking at them. Their leader remembers a wolf and a fox girl from years back- they utterly destroyed a platoon with the help of a lizard and a freaky shadow creature. He storms up to Azeera, thrusting his spear into her face. "Surrender now, and nobody gets hurt."

Attu looks at Azeera "Mind helping us caught Nyx? They ran off after?" Attu glares at Lazuli "Someone decided to wake Nyx" Attu is running unwillingly by Lazuli and every now and then Attu is slightly lifted off the ground "Why the fuck is Nyx running away? They are the ones that want the page so badly to save Zora"

Nyx may wish for the pages, but they have their pride. That is, after all, what has made them flee, in some misguided attempt for revenge simply for waking them. It's an unbearable insult, and the thoughts of it make them run all the faster, giving up on traveling through shadows and pushing past the mortals, running as fast as their legs can carry them.

Lazuli runs- flies- fast, but she can't catch Nyx, as she well knows. Still, she doesn't give up either. Perhaps if she was her sister (either of them) she might be able to sweet-talk Nyx into stopping, but their relationship is far too volatile for that. Where Nyx has a pale, loving relationship with Ruby, and a wicked partnership with Peridot, with Lazuli? Their jobs are to fight, and tear, and take out well-placed revenge on each other for everything they've ever done. Even more of a reason she can't stop, won't stop, no matter how much her legs burn and how Attu complains behind her.

Attu just settles and deals with the chase running along with Lazuli. Tendrils helping him in the mist gaining speed black heart racing and pumping with adrenaline. He haven't chased or merly did anything in three long years.

Azeera watches as they run off then closes her eyes and concentrates. After finding her the next shadow Nyx passes brings her right back here. Would be fun to watch them run around the city looking for Nyx when she's back where they started.

Nyx shrieks and lashes out at Azeera with a tendril, less than concerned that they're surrounded by guards. Their next strike knocks some of those guards to the ground, armor clattering and spears dropping. "How dare you!?"

Lazuli doesn't stop, following the trail doggedly, hovering a foot above the ground with nary a wingbeat. When they come to the end of the trail, she pauses, turning around to stare at Attu. "...did you do this? Where'd they go?!"

Hold that though Azeera says to Nyx. And pulls everyone through the shadows to the inn they stopped by three years earlier.

Attu looks at Lazuli with cold red eyes breathing heavily grinning widely.

Now that they were safe, Nyx repeats themselves, this time mentally. How dare you!? This was no affair of yours! They clench their fists, tendrils lashing and extending. They were looking forward to the fight that would ensue once Lazuli caught them- shamelessly hate-flirting- and don't enjoy being stopped.

Lazuli backs up a little, thrown off guard, but steps back up to Attu soon enough, licking his nose with a tongue of scorching flame. "What. Did. You. Do. Did you save Nyx!?"

Longer time for her to find you, longer chase for you three to enjoy. Azeera says to Nyx. Now when they find you you can be sitting relaxing and gripe about how long it took them

...fine. But if the guards arrive before then, I'm melting away and setting them on you. Nyx huffs and looks away, taking a seat with their bare feet up on a table and their skirt flopped inelegantly around their hips.

Lazuli grabs Attu by the throat, gripping him till he can't breathe, eyes dancing with flame. She does not have the patience for his... shenanigans right now. She's heard alllll about what he did on the last adventure he was on.

Attu whips away from Lazuli's grasp "I was going to kill the guards. You act like I was about to go on a viscous rampage?....... Don't like my nose again...... I don't want your saliva on me or anything of that manner"

Fair enough, but if the guards show up here I've already a plan to talk them down. After all you are the empress' consort, and I could be considered a foreign ambassador. Azeera grins widely.

Nyx rolls blank eyes in a gesture that is much less satisfying than they mean it to be. You always have a plan, don't you. They suppose they could trade on their- rightfully earned- power. It won't be a problem at all.

Lazuli idly rubs her hurting fingers from where Attu pulled away, still glaring at him. She is convinced that he was the one to hide Nyx; they're friends, aren't they? He would do it in a flash."Whatever. don't be a baby!"

"Yeah yeah, your the one rubbing your fingers so who's the baby?" Attu laughs a bit "You hurt or something? I just don't want your DNA on me is all.... Licking my nose there was absolutely no reason to do that what so ever" Attu smiles a bit "Anywho, let's go find this last page shall we?"
