I am a musician and I am a poet, but I can't write poems fast enough to feed my musical needs. Write some poems, I'll write music for them, and post a recording on here. Thanks!

You're the one.

You were the one for me,
My angel flying high,
You were my only goal,
A dream up in the sky.

I met you in a dark, dark place,
Where there was no love nor hate,
But you changed that up,
You were my one true escape.

My heart swelled,
But it swelled to much,
And then it went and died.

I opened my eyes,
Cast them up toward the sky,
Learned about the hate and lies,
Learned that love was a disguise.

You were the one,
My only aim,
But now I see my failure,
My own disgrace!

I don't know how,
And I don't know when,
But I know the start,
And can't see the end.

I've seen you down,
I've seen you up,
I've seen the true hatred,
And you like a pup.

I've seen the love,
And seen the hate,
And I'm finally done,
Running from my fate.
